This weekend, I had the pleasure of joining a rowdy group of kids in upstate NY for the annual Common Threads Youth Empowerment Retreat. The weekend retreat is a 3 day program for high school students interested in ending violence and oppression rooted in sexism and heterosexism (wordy, huh?). The group had really great energy, I attended some super fascinating workshops and met lots of interesting people (networking for We Are the Youth, what what!?).
Although it was exhausting, I felt pretty inspired on the drive home and can't wait to follow up on all the ideas in my brain! Still working out the issue of model releases so hopefully they'll be more photos to come, but in the meantime, here is a silly shirt.
